PAPILOMUL INVERTIT RINOSINUSAL – TUMORA BENIGNA CU POTENTIAL DE MALIGNIZARE

REZUMAT

Introducere. Papilomul invertit este un neoplasm epitelial benign rar, care ridică o serie de probleme terapeutice semnificative, din cauza unei rate ridicate de recidivă postoperatorie şi a unui procent semnificativ de malignizare. Articolul reprezintă o trecere în revistă (review) a literaturii de specialitate cu privire la acest subiect şi o prezentare a experienţei Clinicii ORL Colţea referitor la papiloamele inversate asociate cu carcinomul scuamos.

Tipul studiului. Retrospectiv – 2007-2013 (7 ani).

Metodă. Din 36 de pacienţi cu papilom schneiderian trataţi în clinică, 8 au fost identificaţi cu papilom inversat asociat cu carcinom spinocelular.

Rezultate. Din cei 8 pacienţi, 6 au prezentat carcinom după recidive de papilom inversat la 4,5 ani şi 2 pacienţi au asociat carcinomul ca şi tumoră primară.

Concluzii. Un procent semnificativ de mare din papiloamele invertite, respectiv 22,2% în studiul nostru, au suferit transformare malignă a leziunii.
